Our Studio
Gallery Portraits, which acquired Pixel Perfect, is located in The Village at Salzburg Square, a plaza in Amherst NH stylized after a German Village. The village gives us a unique outdoor studio for Engagement sessions, Senior portraits and a variety of other portraits.
Our studio uses videos and wall projection in a comfortable and private room to view your portraits and make your portrait selections. Our staff will walk you through your portraits, our products, and help you make the selections that will be just what you need for your home décor and family gift giving.
About Karen
People often ask “Have you always wanted to be a photographer” My answer is “Yes”. There was a definite moment that I realized I knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. I was ten years old. That Christmas I gave my Aunt a photo I took of her one year old daughter. My Grandmother pulled me aside and said “Maybe you could think about being a photographer when you get older” and that was the moment I knew the answer to “What do you want to be when you grow up?”
My career has evolved from a college student working in a department store portrait studio, assisting local wedding photographers, but by the age of 22 I knew I needed more. More ability to let my creativity show. So in 1993, I started Gallery Portraits.
In 2003, I moved my home-based business to my current retail studio at Salzburg Square in Amherst. Having a studio has increased my ability to do what I love the most: make people smile. Going to work with the purpose of making others smile is a great feeling and reason to head into work every day! As a photographer for over 20 years, I am amazed at the changes I have seen in technology. I am delighted to have all the tools available today to create beautiful art for my clients.
About Kiera
I have always had a passion to create. I discovered my love for photography during my bachelors at New Hampshire Institute of Art. Since then, I constantly have a camera with me. I have my Masters of Fine Art and love exploring new ways to use photography. I have worked retail photography for several years and am excited to be part of the wonderful work here at Gallery Portraits and Pixel Perfect Babies and Children!
